- What's it like to be a midwestern American female at age 50? Let's find out together! I'm perfectly normal in many respects. I am my second husband's third wife. Our child is younger than most children of 50 year-old mothers. We work, we scrape, we worry. And I'm wondering what 50 will bring, in addition to swollen ankles. Insight? wisdom? yuks? or yucks?
